    Applied Technical Documentation

    Overview:

XA-SIC® DIG RP-20 is suitable for reactive ink printing.

XA-SIC® DIG RP-20 has low viscosity, making it easy to pump and handle, and highly soluble in water. The prepared working slurry exhibits low viscosity and excellent flow properties, making it ideal for low-viscosity pre-treatment methods such as dip-rolling, spraying, or rotary roll application.

Printed fabrics pre-treated with XA-SIC® DIG RP-20 sizing deliver deep, vibrant colors while maintaining excellent clarity and a pleasant hand feel.

    Instructions for Use and Dosage

The dosage of XA-SIC® DIG RP-20 depends on the type of fabric being printed, its specifications, pre-treatment method, ink type, and the specific model of digital printing equipment used.

Under normal circumstances, the recommended dosage for XA-SIC® DIG RP-20 is 20–30 g/L.

You can also choose to use it in combination with the urea alternative XA-SIC®AM Sub-U10, helping to reduce urea consumption.

    Recommended process:

    Active ink (cellulose fiber, silk):

    20–25 g/L XA-SIC® DIG RP-20

    10 - 20 g/L XA-SIC®AM Sub-U10 (optional, can be omitted)

20–30 g/L Soda ash or baking soda

    0 - 0 g/L Sodium Sulfate (no longer required)

    80–120 g/L Urea

    3 - 5 g/L Anti-staining Salt

    Application scenarios:

    - When using XA-SIC® DIG RP-20for pulp preparation, the stirring speed must not be too high.

    - Add the required amount of water

    - Add baking soda/soda ash and anti-staining salt, and dissolve thoroughly.

    - Add XA-SIC® DIG RP-20 while stirring, and slowly mix until fully swollen. If baking soda is added, foaming may occur.

    - Urea or its alternative, XA-SIC®AM Sub-U10

    - Add a defoamer or foam inhibitor if needed.

    - Stir until a uniform working paste is formed

    Note: Do not add yuánmíngfěn.
